Julian Xavier Ramirez was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on a capital murder charge after police alleged he took part in a deadly White Settlement home invasion.
Ramirez, 17, is listed in the Tarrant County inmate search as being in custody on a charge described as “CAPITAL MURDER BY TERROR THREAT/OTHER FELONY,” with a booking date of February 10 and no bond set. The commitment authority is listed as the White Settlement Police Department.
Police have alleged that Ramirez was one of three suspects involved in the January 30 shooting death of 33-year-old Savanna Parker at a home in the 600 block of Meadow Park Drive.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting found Parker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and she later died at a hospital, according to White Settlement police. Authorities have alleged that three people arrived at the residence in a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Marissa Nicole Ocon.
Two masked male suspects — a juvenile and a 17-year-old identified by police as Ramirez — allegedly exited the vehicle and approached the home.
Investigators have alleged that one of the males forced entry through a door and appeared to ransack the residence, while the other remained outside, police said. Police Chief Christopher Cook said Parker confronted the suspects and began recording them on her cellphone, per CBS News.
“You may recall the images that we released,” Cook reportedly said. “That came from the victim’s cell phone.”
As the male juvenile exited the home, he allegedly pointed a gun at Parker and fired multiple times, striking her, Cook said. Authorities have alleged that the suspects then fled in the waiting vehicle, prompting several daycare and school lockdowns in the area, police said.
Ramirez was taken into custody on February 9 at a Lake Worth ISD school facility and charged with capital murder, according to police. Jail records show he remains held without bond.
Ocon was arrested on February 6 after officers conducted surveillance and a traffic stop in South Fort Worth, police said. She has also been charged with capital murder. A third suspect, identified by police as Mirabel Apodaca-Guzman, was arrested on February 7 and charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution after authorities alleged she helped a juvenile suspect travel toward the El Paso area.
Police have alleged that the juvenile suspect, who has not been publicly identified, fled to Mexico and is believed to be in the Juarez area. Authorities said they are working with federal and state agencies to seek his return to face proceedings in Tarrant County juvenile court.
An investigation remains ongoing.
