A 29-year-old man from Joshua has been arrested on terroristic threat charges after leaving voicemail bomb threats against two Seventh-Day Adventist churches in Keene on Saturday, authorities said.
Joshua Pike was taken into custody on Sunday following an investigation that linked him to the threats received around 3:30 p.m. the previous day, according to the Keene Police Department. Both the Keene Seventh-Day Adventist Church and the Iglesia Adventista Del Séptimo Día Church were searched and cleared.
Pike was booked into the Johnson County Jail, where no bond had been set as of Monday morning. Additional charges are pending.
“We want to express our appreciation to our church partners and area law enforcement, including the Hill County Sheriff’s Office, Itasca Police Department, DPS Waco Division, and several others for their assistance in this investigation,” the department said in a statement.
