(Texas Scorecard) – A Senegalese national who is wanted for murder has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Philadelphia after he illegally entered the U.S. through Texas.
During a targeted enforcement operation last week, Gora Tourie Fall, a 34-year-old Senegalese national, was arrested by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia. ICE revealed that Fall has an outstanding murder warrant in Brazil.
In April 2021, U.S. Border Patrol arrested Fall near Eagle Pass after he was caught attempting to illegally enter the country. Border Patrol later issued Fall a notice to appear before an immigration judge, and he was released on parole. In May, ERO Philadelphia became aware of Fall’s outstanding arrest warrant.
“ERO Philadelphia is devoted to ensuring that foreign fugitives such as Fall will find no refuge in the United States,” said Acting ERO Philadelphia Field Office Director Brian McShane. “The safety of the American public is our number one priority and as such, we will arrest any noncitizen who poses a threat to our security.”
Former ICE Special Agent Victor Avila told Texas Scorecard that this case illustrates the results of the Biden Administration’s “catch and release” policy.
“Here is another example of an illegal alien that was allowed into our country by the Biden administration under their ‘Catch and Release’ policy and lack of vetting,” said Avila. “January 20 can’t come soon enough.”
Fall is currently being held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
