An 18-year-old man is facing murder charges after being arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 22-year-old man in East Dallas.
Jason Steven, who was booked into the Dallas County jail on November 8, is accused of killing Alexis Fernando Estrada Zambrano on October 26. According to jail records, Steven is currently held on a $250,000 bond.
According to officials, Steven is an illegal alien.
Officers responded to a shooting on Dilido Road around 4:30 a.m. on the day of the incident, which resulted in Steven being arrested and charged with murder. Steven was apprehended alongside two other suspects, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. Both of the juveniles connected to the case were also charged last week with murder, according to Fox 4 News.
Due to their ages, the two additional suspect’s identities have not been released to the public.
Many details within the case remain unclear, including which of the suspects fired the fatal shot that killed the young man. As of the morning of November 11, authorities are continuing their investigation.
