U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas recently arrested a Mexican national who’d been walking free despite a grisly crime.
On April 3, 2022, 48-year-old Manuel Tellez stabbed a man to death in a Dallas alley seven times, then later returned to set the murdered victim’s body on fire.
You would think this crime would land someone behind bars, but Tellez dodged prison entirely.
After pleading guilty to manslaughter, a step down from the original murder charge, he was handed eight years of community supervision and sent back into the community.
ICE’s Dallas team intervened on March 4, 2025, and arrested Tellez.
