A student of Boswell High School was stabbed in the back during a fight over a girl on September 21.
The incident took place in Fort Worth, a part of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw a few minutes past 1 p.m. that Wednesday.
Boswell High School Principal Nika Davis testified that a fight ensued between two boys over a girl, causing one of the boys to be injured.
In a message sent to the parents by the school, it was stated that the victim was stabbed from behind with a pocket knife.
The police reacted immediately to the call they got from the school about the unfortunate incident and took the accused into custody but did not disclose the legal proceedings.
The school district confirmed that the injured student has been hospitalized and is responding to treatment. The identities of the boys were not released, nor was that of the girl involved.
While the district stated that school activities were placed on hold for a thorough investigation to be carried out by the police, activities have resumed and students are back in the classroom.
