Fort Worth police are intensifying their search for a man suspected of committing a string of armed robberies across the city.

Authorities report that the suspect has grown more violent with each incident, sparking heightened concern for public safety. Over the last six weeks, at least five corner stores have fallen victim to his crimes, with the most recent robbery occurring on Monday night, reported Fox 4 KDFW.

The spree began with two robberies at the 365 Food Store on North Main Street, where the suspect employed distraction tactics before attacking store clerks. On both occasions, the man used a knife to threaten employees and demand cash. The ABC Food Store on Hemphill was also targeted twice, including an incident on November 15 where the suspect used a fake $100 bill as a ploy. Once the clerk approached, the robber forced him behind the counter at knifepoint, snatching cash from the register.

The suspect’s escalating aggression was on full display during Monday night’s robbery at the Food Mart on Mansfield Highway. Surveillance footage from the store shows the man holding an employee at gunpoint while stealing approximately $2,000 in cash, rolls of lottery tickets, and cartons of cigarettes. In the same video, a second suspect appears, helping carry out the stolen goods. The pair left on foot, and police have not identified a getaway vehicle.

Police describe the suspect using various disguises, including hoodies and camouflage jackets, to conceal his identity. Despite his efforts, investigators have noted distinguishing details, such as a unique ring on his left hand captured on surveillance footage during one robbery. These clues, though limited, provide hope for identifying the individual.

Officer Buddy Calzada of the Fort Worth Police Department emphasized the robber’s calculated methods, stating, “The individual is using different tactics to try and distract the clerk so they can rob the store and take the money.” The suspect’s adaptability and willingness to escalate violence have made the case a priority for law enforcement.

The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any information that could aid the investigation. Without a known vehicle or confirmed residence, the suspect’s mobility remains challenging for police, complicating their efforts to track him down.

Fort Worth police are working closely with local businesses and reviewing surveillance footage to gather more evidence. Residents and store owners are encouraged to enhance security measures, as the robberies have targeted small, easily accessible businesses.
