Mesquite police have charged five people with crimes after a brawl on June 3 outside a 7-Eleven store.

Ahliyah Turner, 19, from Garland, and Kiara Beale, 21, from Dallas, and three juveniles were arrested.

The incident allegedly happened on Faithon P. Lucas Boulevard, police said, after a clerk refused to sell cigars to underaged customers.

The decision set off a wild brawl in the parking lot and inside the store. Some of the suspects were seen throwing items from the store and punching store employees, police said.

Police said charges included two counts of assault, criminal mischief, and theft.

Two female employees suffered minor injuries, police said.
