Dallas police arrested three people and seized a variety of drugs and multiple firearms during an early morning traffic stop on September 6, the department announced on September 15.
The North Central Division officers recovered 9.4 grams of fentanyl, 7.4 grams of methamphetamine, and 2 grams of cocaine from the vehicle.
Officers initiated the traffic stop around 3 a.m. September 6 in the 13600 block of the North Central Expressway service road. They discovered two of the three occupants had outstanding warrants during the investigation.
Police also found an AR-style pistol and two handguns in the vehicle. All three weapons were confiscated as evidence.
Kendrick Mathis, 46, faces the most serious charges. He was arrested on two counts of first-degree felony drug manufacturing and delivery for the fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Mathis also faces a second-degree felony charge for cocaine possession with intent to deliver. Authorities charged him with unlicensed weapon carrying with a felony conviction, another second-degree felony. His bond was set at $275,000.
Alexis Berry, 23, was arrested on outstanding theft warrants. Angely Flores, 18, was taken into custody for existing larceny warrants.
“Proactive policing gets criminals and their guns and drugs off the streets, and keeps Dallas safe,” said Major Pollyanna Ashford, North Central Patrol commander.
The arrests highlight increased patrols in areas with elevated drug activity. Officers use targeted enforcement to identify vehicles and individuals involved in criminal enterprises.
The investigation continues under case numbers 128801-2025 and 128916-2025. All suspects remain in custody pending bond hearings.
