Grand Prairie police arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man on June 7.
Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Sugar Mill Lane at about 10:15 p.m. last Tuesday. When they arrived, police found Shannon McKnight with a gunshot wound.
McKnight was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the suspect, Allen Hale, knew McKnight. The two were involved in a disturbance that escalated, and then Hale allegedly shot McKnight.
According to Grand Prairie police, Hale is being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center, where he faces a murder charge. His bail is set at $500,000.
It is unclear whether Hale, 32, has an attorney.
