A burglary suspect led Ellis County deputies on a 100-mph chase early Friday morning before crashing in Old East Dallas and being captured by a police dog.
The chase began around 2 a.m. when Ellis County deputies attempted to stop a burglary suspect driving a stolen truck. The driver refused to pull over, accelerating to speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour as he fled north toward Dallas, Fox 4 KDFW reported.
The pursuit ended when the truck crashed into a parked car in Old East Dallas. The suspect attempted to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by a K-9 unit.
The man now faces charges of burglary and evading arrest. Authorities have not yet released his name or mugshot.
No injuries were reported in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
