Dallas police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide involving a couple in northeast Dallas.
On Monday morning, authorities discovered two bodies at a residence in the Lake Highlands area after responding to a call for service. According to investigators, 82-year-old John Faulkner shot Sharon Faulkner, 81, before turning the gun on himself. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. in the 9600 block of Greensprint Drive, a typically quiet residential area. Police have not yet released information regarding a possible motive.
The department has classified the case as an ongoing homicide investigation.
