Drive-by Shooting Injures Young Child inside Her Home

A child was shot in Haltom City on February 16 in what police believe was a drive-by shooting.

Around 3:15 p.m., officers arrived at the 3500 block of Eastridge Drive to find that bullets had struck multiple vehicles and a house.

The gunfire injured a young child inside the home. Police said the victim was a girl but did not release her name or age.

She was transported to a hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
