Two men died from gunshot wounds Wednesday night at a residence on Spring Avenue in Dallas, police reported.

Officers discovered 71-year-old James Johnson and 34-year-old Dameon Green inside the home in the 4800 block of Spring Avenue around 9:55 p.m.

The double homicide marks another violent incident in the area as Dallas grapples with ongoing gun violence. Police have not released information about suspects or motives.

According to the Dallas Police Department, Johnson was found with multiple gunshot wounds and Green was located unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced both men dead at the scene.

The relationship between Johnson and Green remains unclear.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shootings under case number 083371-2025. The case will be referred to a grand jury.

Police have released few details about potential witnesses or evidence. The investigation remains in its early stages.
