Five men were arrested and held in Denton County in June and early July on charges tied to child sex crimes, aggravated assault, and other alleged felonies.

Higher-level felonies—such as aggravated sexual assault of a child or possession of large quantities of controlled substances—are weighted more heavily than misdemeanor charges or bench warrants.

1. Gary S. Douglas

Gary S. Douglas, 51, was arrested on June 18, 2025, by the Carrollton Police Department.

Douglas faces three felony charges, including a serious drug possession count and two sex crimes involving a minor. Authorities have not released details of the alleged offenses.

2. George A. Alonzo

George A. Alonzo, 18, was arrested on June 14, 2025, by the Carrollton Police Department.

Alonzo was booked on allegations that he broke into a home with the intent to commit a sexual offense. He also faces a separate charge of indecent assault.

3. James B. Lucas

James B. Lucas, 39, was arrested on June 7, 2025, by the Denton Police Department.

Lucas was arrested after allegedly exposing himself and attempting to tamper with evidence. He also faces a drug charge for possession of less than one gram of a controlled substance.

4. Michael S. Criner

Michael S. Criner, 42, was arrested on July 2, 2025, by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

5. Joshua Flores

Joshua Flores, 39, was arrested on July 10, 2025, by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.
