Dallas police are investigating three separate homicides that occurred in less than 48 hours over the weekend.

Morrell Avenue

On August 31, at about 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Morrell Avenue and found a man shot at the location. He died at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to identify the victim. This case is documented as number 125459-2025.

Jeffries Street

On August 31, at about 5:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of Jeffries Street. Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injury.
The suspect, 66-year-old Charles Reeder, was arrested and charged with murder. He was taken to Dallas County Jail. The Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the victim’s identity. This case is documented as number 125543-2025.

52nd Street

On August 30, at about 3:00 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of 52nd Street and found a man shot at the location. He died at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the victim. This case is documented as number 124823-2025.
