A Dallas police senior corporal assigned to the department’s Criminal Intelligence Division turned himself in Tuesday on a warrant for evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Senior Corporal Joshua Gonzalez, #10235, surrendered at the Dallas County Jail on April 14, police said. The department said Gonzalez has been employed by Dallas police since August 2010.
Police said Gonzalez has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
The department did not release additional details about the allegations, including when the incident occurred or which agency obtained the warrant. As of Tuesday, Dallas police had not publicly identified an attorney for Gonzalez. Based on currently available public information, the case appears to be developing.
