Dallas police arrested two men and seized 12 vehicles on Monday after breaking up a dangerous street takeover involving dozens of motorcycles and dirt bikes.

The operation targeted a group blocking traffic and performing stunts near Peavy Road and Buckner Boulevard. The crackdown highlights escalating tensions over illegal street racing in Dallas neighborhoods. Residents say the Monday evening gatherings have become a recurring public safety threat.

Officers from the Northeast Patrol Division and Street Racing Task Force tracked the group to Miller Road and White Rock Lake. They issued 30 citations for violations, including driving without a driver’s license, license plates, insurance, or registration.

Police seized 12 e-bikes and dirt bikes during the operation. Officers also confiscated one firearm during an arrest.

Alfred Jenkins, 29, faces charges of reckless driving and unlicensed carrying of a weapon. Jose Leyba, 26, was charged with reckless driving.

“We enforce Texas laws to keep our streets safe,” said Major Gabriel Candelaria, commander of the Northeast Patrol Division. “Our streets are not a stage for stunt driving and reckless behavior.”

The investigation was documented under case number 118825-2025.
