Dallas police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting death last week.
Kamal Alberty, 33, was found fatally shot on October 7, according to a news release on the Dallas police department’s blog site.
Police responded to a call at 5:00 p.m. in the 5900 block of Roseville Drive in Dallas.
When they arrived on the scene, they found Alberty on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue was called and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died.
Dallas detectives began their investigation and concluded that a family member of the victim was involved in an argument with him that eventually turned physical, which led to the shooting.
Delvin Alberty, 59, shot and killed his nephew after the fight turned physical, police claimed.
The elder Alberty was arrested and charged with murder. He was taken into custody and booked into the Dallas County jail to await arraignment. His bail was set at $500,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
