A man has died after being shot multiple times Friday night, according to a news release from the Dallas Police Department (DPD).

Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 13200 Spanish Bay Court.

After an initial investigation, police determined that the man was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect. Dallas Fire-Rescue was called and also responded to the shooting call.

Ultimately, the victim died from his injuries, and police do not have a suspect as of yet.

If anyone has any information about the shooting incident that took place, please contact Detective Travis French. He can be reached by phone at 214-671-0112 or by email at [email protected].

The investigation remains ongoing.

The Dallas Express contacted the Dallas Police Department for additional information but did not receive any by the time of publication.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information called in that leads to the arrest and indictment for this felony offense or other felony offenses.

You can call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477), 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The shooting occurred in Dallas City Councilman Tennell Atkins’ District 8. This is just the latest shooting in that district, as The Dallas Express reported only days ago on a shooting there that left one person dead and three wounded, including a 5-year-old child.

Dallas continues to see an increase in violent crime, with an 8% increase this year.
