A 54-year-old man died after being struck in the head during an early morning disturbance in Dallas on Sunday.
Sergio Lopez was attacked around 4:20 a.m. on January 11 in the 10200 block of Shady Trail in Northwest Dallas. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported him to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The death marks Dallas’s latest homicide as the city grapples with violent crime in residential neighborhoods. Police have not identified a suspect or established a motive.
Officers initially responded to reports of a disturbance at the location. They found Lopez with head trauma inflicted by an unknown assailant.
