Dallas police arrested a suspected drug trafficker and seized thousands of grams of marijuana, THC products, and other drugs during a bust on July 15.

Acting on a tip from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Dallas Police PNI Task Force and Southeast Patrol executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3100 block of Harmon Street on July 15.

Officers recovered 7,397 grams of marijuana, 2,499.8 grams of THC wax, 252.4 grams of THC edibles, small amounts of oxycodone and Adderall, eight bottles of promethazine, and drug packaging equipment. They also found rifle and pistol magazines, a speed loader, security cameras, and a DVR system.

During the raid, 26-year-old Ricky Morrison approached the scene in his vehicle but sped away after spotting police. Officers caught up with Morrison and pulled him over for failing to signal a turn.

Morrison faces charges for the manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana between 5-50 pounds, possession of a controlled substance, failure to signal, and driving without a license. All drug charges are third-degree felonies.

“This operation shows how teamwork, inside and outside of our organization, can help protect our neighborhoods so our communities can feel safer living, working, and simply going about their lives,” said Major Nathan Swyers.

The investigation continues under case number 100422-2025.
