A Dallas emergency physician was arrested in June on a child indecency charge and has since had his medical license suspended over public safety concerns.

Heath Police arrested Dr. Lawrence Albert Bean, who practiced at Preston Hollow Emergency Room, on June 16. He was charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. On August 13, the Texas Medical Board suspended his license, writing that, “his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare.”
