Dallas Police reported three homicide investigations connected to violent incidents over the weekend of December 20–21, as the city continues to record multiple killings throughout December.
Weekend Incidents
On December 20 at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 9000 block of Markville Drive, where a female victim was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue, where she later died. The investigation is documented under case number 181463-2025.
Later that morning, officers conducting surveillance related to the Markville Drive homicide located a suspect vehicle near the 18500 block of LBJ Freeway in Mesquite. At approximately 11:45 a.m., officers conducted a felony traffic stop. The suspect exited the vehicle, and shots were fired. The suspect died at the scene, and no officers were injured. Mesquite Police are investigating the officer-involved shooting under case number 25-110810.
On December 21 at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 100 block of S. Murdeaux Lane, where 25-year-old Matthew Moore was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Moore was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The investigation is documented under case number 182068-2025.
December 2025 Homicides Across Dallas
Dallas Police have reported multiple homicide investigations across the city throughout December, including shootings, stabbings, and domestic-related incidents.
Notable cases include:
- December 1: 42-year-old Billy Brightman was fatally shot in the 4000 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road. A suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
- December 2: 32-year-old Jerrian Jones died after being stabbed near the 2100 block of W. Ledbetter Drive. A suspect was later arrested and charged with murder.
- December 4: 71-year-old Jerome Wooten was found dead following a welfare check in the 800 block of Cade Road.
- December 6: Joseph Premeaux, 33, was killed in a shooting involving five victims in the 2900 block of W. Wheatland Road. A suspect has been arrested.
- December 6: A 15-year-old juvenile later died after being shot near the 2500 block of Canada Drive, leading police to reclassify the case as a homicide.
- December 6: Christian Velasquez Rosas, 26, was fatally shot in the 2700 block of Samuell Boulevard.
- December 8: A man died after being stabbed in the 4800 block of Gaston Avenue. A suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
- December 11: 36-year-old Daniel Tovar died after being shot in the 4700 block of Berridge Lane.
- December 11: 39-year-old Antwan Bell was found shot inside a vehicle in the 2400 block of Meyers Street. A suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
- December 11: Arlina Sander, 24, and Darvilease Washington, 27, were fatally shot in the 15800 block of El Estado Drive. Police later located the suspected shooter deceased in Mesquite from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
- December 12: A woman was fatally shot in the 7600 block of S. Central Expressway. Police said William Ramirez-Garcia, 30, shot the victim before dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
- December 15: 29-year-old Charles Hibbler was fatally shot in the 6000 block of Highland Hills Drive.
