Standoff in Tarrant County Ends Peacefully

A standoff in Tarrant County ended peacefully Friday morning when Pantego police took a woman into custody.

The incident led to evacuations and road closures, with some residents asked to shelter in place since it started around 4:20 p.m. Thursday.

Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies and Pantego police attempted to serve a warrant to a home on Grant Place, the Town of Pantego said in a news release.

The person inside showed a gun to police, then “retreated inside the home.” Deputies then pulled back, the news release said.

Arlington police also responded.

The woman came out around 9 a.m. Friday.
