As many as 25 suspects were arrested by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office along with Homeland Security Investigations North Texas Trafficking Task Force in a two-day operation.

The sting, announced Monday, was conducted in the Dallas County area. It sought to arrest buyers who wanted to purchase commercial sex, according to a news release.

The operation was conducted on April 11 and April 12, according to the release.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies in Texas to continue fighting sex and human trafficking in the state.

“This operation was conducted with numerous local and state law enforcement partners to combat the demand for commercial sex through “buyers” that could lead to greater demand for human trafficking victims,” the release states.

As The Dallas Express has reported on human trafficking and sex trafficking and will continue to do so, law enforcement officials have made it their mission to go after and arrest people that continue to purchase commercial sex.

Out of all 14 Districts in Dallas, District 6, which is represented by Dallas City Councilman Omar Narvaez, has the only cases of human trafficking, and commercial sex acts, with five cases year to date.

That is a 25% increase year over year, according to the Dallas Crime Analytics Dashboard.
