A 14-year-old was identified on Monday as the suspect in a Rowlett park shooting that wounded three people earlier this year.

Two adults and a 14-year-old girl were shot on January 27 at Twin Star Park, the police department said in a news release.

The suspect is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said, adding that he might have fled to Kansas City.

The four involved in the incident reportedly were meeting at the park about a fight at school three days earlier, the news release said.

Rowlett is located about 30 miles east of Dallas on Lake Ray Hubbard.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact Detective Eric Shing at 972-412-6212.
