One person was injured and taken to the hospital after a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Thomas Jefferson High School in North Dallas.
Dallas police said a call came in around 4:40 p.m. at the Dallas Independent School District campus, located at 4001 Walnut Ln.
It appears that a student was shot in the arm shortly after the end of the school day, WFAA reported.
There is currently a heavy police and fire-rescue presence in the area and the campus is on lockdown. As the shooting occurred on DISD property, the DISD Police Department will be leading the investigation.
No arrests have been made yet, Fox 4 reported.
The Dallas Express reached out to DISD for more information but could not immediately reach a district spokesperson.
