One man died and another was hospitalized after a shooting Thursday afternoon at a northeast Dallas apartment complex, police told The Dallas Express.
An argument between a man and a pregnant woman who worked at the complex around 12:50 p.m. escalated into a shooting, WFAA reported.
The man fired shots at the woman, who was not hit, the TV station said.
The woman’s husband was working in the parking lot and confronted the shooter, WFAA reported.
He was shot and injured, then the shooter turned the gun on himself, WFAA reported.
“The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found a man shot at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital and his condition is unknown,” police public information officer Michael D. Dennis wrote in an e-mail to The Dallas Express.
“Officers also found another adult male at the location, believed to be the suspect in the shooting, with [an] apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man died at the scene.”
The complex is located in the 5800 block of Pineland Drive, just east of U.S. Highway 75 about 5 miles south of Interstate 635.
