Before Venezuelan aliens killed a man and targeted prostitutes in Garland-area motels, former President Joe Biden’s administration released them into the country.

The Venezuelans –  20-year-old Yosguar Aponte Jimenez, 35-year-old Jose Luis Trivino-Cruz, and 23-year-old Jesus De Nazareth Bellorin-Guzman – reportedly killed a man at a Garland motel in June, after robbing and assaulting nearby prostitutes, as The Dallas Express previously reported. They face capital murder charges and are on immigration holds.

It turns out Biden’s administration released the Venezuelan aliens into the country from 2023 to 2025, according to Fox News’ Bill Melugin.

“Three depraved criminal illegal aliens from Venezuela were released into the U.S. under the Biden administration,” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said. “ICE has lodged a detainer to ensure they are removed from our country after they face justice for their heinous crimes.”

Jimenez crossed the border illegally on May 3, 2023, and the Biden administration released him into the United States, according to Melugin. Morales is charged with capital murder.

The Biden administration released Cruz into the country on October 9, 2024, through the CBP One app. Cruz faces charges of capital murder, aggravated robbery, and indecent assault.

Biden officials also released Guzman through the CBP One app on January 6, 2025, just before Trump took office. He faces charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery.

All three suspects are detained in the Dallas County Jail with bonds of $1.5 million and more, as The Dallas Express previously reported. They allegedly killed 48-year-old Santiago Lopez Morales at a Garland Motel 6 in the early hours of June 20.

The Venezuelans reportedly robbed a woman earlier that morning at the Deluxe Inn on Leon Road in Garland. She told Morales, so he began messaging the suspects online, posing as a prostitute, and planned to meet them at the Motel 6.

Morales and “four witnesses” arrived in a pickup early that morning at 4:21 a.m., surveillance footage showed. Then a Toyota sedan arrived at 4:47 a.m., and a gray Acura arrived at 4:54 a.m.

Just after 5 a.m., one suspect left the Toyota and knocked on room 137. Morales, armed and dressed as a security guard, confronted him. A struggle ensued.

A second suspect from the Acura shot Morales, and he “fell motionless.” The suspects fled the scene.

Police arrived at 5:19 a.m. and provided first aid. But according to medical examiner records, just before 6 a.m., Morales died of “homicide” at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Investigators found an “aggravated robbery” had previously taken place at the Deluxe Inn around 2 a.m., where “two Hispanic men” forced their way into a woman’s room – then held her at gunpoint, “sexually assaulted her,” and robbed her of cash, jewelry, and ID. They fled in the same vehicles later driven by the suspects who killed Morales.

Jimenez confessed to more than 25 robberies, and Trivino-Cruz admitted two more robberies that day, as The Dallas Express previously reported.

The Garland Police Department later identified Morales as a resident of Las Vegas and said the shooting was an “isolated incident.”
