Newly released FBI audio captures Ghislaine Maxwell describing Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual behavior and her account of his connections to former President Bill Clinton, as congressional investigators continue to release files related to the case.
Maxwell repeatedly referred to Epstein as “Mr. Epstein” during the July 25, 2025, interview. She told agents he exaggerated claims of erectile dysfunction and said his sexual behavior primarily involved non-intercourse activity, which she described as consistent with what she personally observed.
Her remarks align with recently released footage published by the House Oversight Committee in which women described encounters with Epstein involving masturbation during massages. At least two alleged victims gave similar accounts, The Dallas Express reported.

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for aiding Epstein’s abuse of underage girls, also addressed the infamous painting of Clinton in a blue dress that was photographed inside Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse. She told investigators she never saw the artwork before it appeared in press coverage, calling it “hideous” and saying she did not know how Epstein obtained it.
When asked about Clinton more broadly, Maxwell distanced the former president from Epstein. She said she never saw Clinton at Epstein’s homes or his private island, describing him as “friendly on the plane” but adding, “I didn’t see President Clinton being interested in Epstein. He was just a rich guy with a plane.” CNN has reported, however, that Maxwell appeared at multiple Clinton Foundation events and Hillary Clinton campaign functions throughout the 2000s and 2010s.
The recording also shows Maxwell rejecting claims that she trained women to satisfy Epstein sexually. “The idea that I would have to explain to a woman how to satisfy Mr. Epstein is patently absurd, because he clearly was able to explain himself,” she told agents.
Spencer R. Horn, identified on the tape as an FBI assistant special agent in charge in New York, participated in the questioning, according to another audio file released Sept. 2.
Some of the material echoes earlier reporting. On Aug. 22, the Justice Department released redacted transcripts of Maxwell’s July conversations with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. At the time, NPR reported Maxwell denied ever seeing President Donald Trump behave inappropriately and her counsel maintained that he was being made into a scapegoat.
The release comes as the House Oversight Committee continues publishing files related to Epstein and Maxwell. On Sept. 2, lawmakers posted thousands of documents and hours of video interviews with women describing encounters with Epstein, some dating back to 2005 and 2006.
Together, the records provide one of the clearest views yet into Maxwell’s portrayal of Epstein’s private life, even as questions remain about her credibility and the full scope of Epstein’s relationships with political and cultural figures.
