Alfred Jerome Williams is charged with serious bodily injury to a child, according to arrest records.

On Thursday, February 16, Fort Worth police responded to a call at 4113 SW Loop 820 and discovered 4-month-old A’zari Jai’shuan Williams unresponsive inside his family’s apartment. He was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Tarrant County medical examiner ruled the time of death as 11:16 p.m. The cause of death was listed as homicide by blunt force injuries.

The Dallas Express contacted the Fort Worth Police Department for additional information and received the following written statement from spokesperson Bradley Perez:

“It has been determined that the infant’s father, Alfred Jerome Williams, B/M, 22yoa, has been arrested for this offense. The case will be presented to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office in the upcoming days. Any charge enhancements or release of extent of injuries are not planned until the completed ME report is available.”

Williams is currently held in the Tarrant County Jail, and his bond is set at $150,000, according to arrest records. The investigation remains ongoing.

At the time of the infant’s death, Williams was on parole following deferred adjudication for assaulting a pregnant person in 2022.

In the nearby city of Dallas, violent crime continues to plague the streets. Violent crime has increased by more than 7%, according to a recent Dallas Police Daily Crime Brief.

Bond should be $1million. What could a 4 month old baby do to a jail bird. Mom’s we have too protect our children selection of men better.

They got their dates wrong in that database. it says that his first arrest was 2/17/2023 when it had to be 2022…and if he assaulted a pregnant woman…whoever chose up on letting him go free has that child’s death on their hands.

Apart from that this story just infuriates me and why he even deserves any kind of bond is beyond me.
