24-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Old East Dallas Club

After a fatal shooting early Tuesday morning in Old East Dallas, police are looking for the suspect responsible for the death of a 24-year-old man.

Officers were called to Blum at The Sporting Club in the 2500 block of Florence Street, near North Good Latimer, around 1:30 a.m on July 26. Upon arrival, they discovered Xavier Yvanez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead by Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Yvanez was allegedly arguing with an individual, who then pulled out a gun and shot the man, according to police. The shooter fled the scene in an unspecified direction.

An investigation is underway. Police are interviewing witnesses and reviewing security footage.
