The Dallas Police Department is currently searching for suspects in a shooting that took place in Northeast Dallas on Tuesday, which killed a 16-year-old.
Dallas Fire-Rescue was flagged down on April 25 at about 9:20 p.m. for a shooting victim in the 4600 block of E R L Thornton Freeway westbound service road, according to a DPD blog post.
The 16-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, died after being transported to a local hospital.
Police said the initial investigation determined that the victim and three others were driving in a car on Santa Anna Avenue toward Shiloh Road.
The side mirror of the victim’s car apparently hit the side mirror of the suspect’s vehicle, at which point the suspect turned around and drove toward the victim’s vehicle, firing a gun and hitting the 16-year-old victim once.
Police said the suspect was driving a beige truck or SUV.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Joshua Romero at [email protected] or call 214-671-4226.
