Clay Jenkins Admits to Darkening Face in Alleged Break In

Clay Jenkins’ campaign manager has responded after a resurfaced police report in which four women allege Clay Jenkins broke into their apartment while wearing blackface.

“Judge Jenkins apologized then, when he was 19, and continues to be sorry for the poor judgment he exhibited at the time,” campaign manager Sean Gregory told The Texas Tribune. “He has never darkened his face in an attempt to appear as a member of another race.”

Gregory gave a statement to the Austin-based newspaper despite not responding to local media outlets including The Dallas Express.

While Gregory denies any racial component, the police report says one of the women alleged that “all three men were dressed in dark colored clothing like camouflage and had on dark oil…or paint or dark makeup on their faces to make them look like black people.”

As previously reported in The Dallas Express, documents from the Waco Police Department state that authorities initially thought that the suspects were “possibly black males,” before Jenkins and his associates were identified.

The police report asserted that three men “admitted…that they [had] gone into the apartment trying to scare the girls and said they did scare them.”

One of the alleged participants, Monty James, claimed to have done nothing wrong. He told the police that the crew had scared some 22 people across several apartments that night, and that “everyone thought it was funny except these four girls,” referring to the apparent victims who reported the incident to the police.

Jenkins was arrested in relation to the blackface break-in on September 29, 1983, by Waco PD.

Accusations of impropriety have previously swirled around Judge Jenkins, including allegations that he engaged in “panty raids” while in college.

Furthermore, Jenkins reportedly lied to voters by claiming that he was the first in his family to graduate from college, according to the former mayor of Carrollton.

Wearing blackface among liberal politicians almost seems to be a badge of honor. Just look at “Fidel” trudeau and ralph northam. I just hope that there is a different outcome for jenkins than what happened to the aforementioned two, who won their re-elections. jenkins needs to go not on what stupid thing he did as a college student, but the way he behaved like a petty dictator during the covid pandemic.

Beat a dead horse much. Faith Johnson is going to lose. Deal with it. And where in your article does it state that he admitted to darkening his face?

Again, what happened to the original source you all cited in your email? It has been conveniently left out, again.

Faith Johnson is not running against clay jenkins. To write that would indicate one is poorly informed on the merits of the candidates and ideologically driven.

Dark clothes and dark face paint make one more difficult to see at night. I would guess that this was their motivation.

Unfortunately, in 1983, dressing in blackface for a Halloween prank was not thought of the way it is today. Times have changed.

Where was your right wing outrage when Brett Kavanaugh was CREDIBLY accused of rape and sexual assault when he was in college? I don’t recall that EVER being acceptable, regardless of time frame.

There was no credible witness nor a victim. And since it didn’t matter for Bill Clinton, your whine rings hollow.

Dark face or not, they illegally broke in to several apartments. He says, “…everyone thought it was funny except these four girls”. So that makes it okay that the others didn’t complain? No, it does not. Doing something illegal is not a “majority rules” kind of thing. And we have no way of knowing if any of the other girls were upset by this, and I’m not taking his word for it. Maybe not so big a thing, and it was years ago, but stop giving excuses and just own up to it for Christ’s sake.

If he had been a Republican, you better believe the dems would be all over it. Hypocrisy at it’s finest.

ANYONE, Democrat OR Republican, dressing up in Black Face and breaking into an apartment is not being funny. We all have maybe done things in our past that we now realize in hindsight was dumb. If this past behavior affects one’s view of his present character, and you think he is not worthy of your vote, then don’t vote for him.

Clay knew what his intentions were and that was to act as if he was a black scary man to scare all the young white ladies around campus. It wouldn’t have been as scary had he gone with his own white face.

Have you taken a really good look at Clay? And you don’t think his face in a darkened room would not be scary?

Again, that was a loooong time abo. Last century, in fact. We don’t need to look that far back in history to get ammunition to destroy Jenkins political career. All we have to do is look back into the past26 months and see what kind of fascist he really is.

True, but liberal fascist went farther back against Judge Roy Moore, Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Trump, even when it’s false, they still say it should be investigated because of the “seriousness of the accusation”. (Pelosi’s exact words)

This was a sexual assault and Jenkins should have been labeled as a sex offender. He has no business running for a political position where his decisions would affect Black, Asian are Hispanic citizens
