Investigators at the scene learned that the woman had been left inside the vehicle alone while another relative was shopping inside the Walmart store. Police did not disclose the identity of the dead woman or her relative or the relationship between the two. Investigators did not specify whether the woman was the driver or passenger in the vehicle.

Pictures taken at the scene indicate that the vehicle involved was a black two-door car. The fire appears to have been contained to the interior of the vehicle.
