A woman has died after crashing her vehicle into a concrete bridge pillar on the interstate on March 9.

Per Dallas Police, witnesses said the woman’s GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound in the far left lane of I-20 in Dallas, when it suddenly veered sharply to the right.

According to the witnesses, the SUV crossed all the lanes of I-20 and struck the guardrail to the right of the highway before crashing into the pillar.

The 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was the only occupant of the vehicle during the crash.

Police have not determined what caused the woman to veer out of her lane. However, they say their investigation is ongoing.

The woman has not been identified. This will be done once the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office has notified the next of kin.
