A person who visited an Irving Circle K on Saturday is $7.25 million richer. The winning lottery ticket was purchased at the 3950 Valley View Lane location.

“We look forward to meeting the second Lotto Texas jackpot winner of June and the fifth overall for 2022,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery via CBS DFW. “If you have the winning ticket, we encourage you to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery to schedule an appointment to claim the prize.”

The winning ticket matched all six numbers, 7-10-23-34-46-47, and the person who purchased the ticket selected the cash option, meaning they will receive $4,632,166.56 before taxes. The winner will have 180 days to claim the prize.

In the same Lotto Texas drawing where one ticket won the jackpot, 50,434 other tickets, including some with the “Extra!” add-on feature, won lower-level prizes. These prizes ranged in value from $2 to $13,218.

On Monday, the jackpot for the next Lotto Texas drawing reset to an estimated annuitized value of $5 million.

A few urban legends circulate about the Texas Lottery. The first is that the funds are not used to support education. Since 1997, the Texas Lottery has provided the Foundation School Fund with a total contribution of $25.9 billion.

Another myth is retailers know which scratch-offs will be winners. A retailer cannot tell if a scratch ticket is a winner unless the latex on the ticket is removed. At the time of purchase, players should check their tickets to ensure the scratch-off material is still present and has not been altered or removed.

The Texas Lottery holds drawings daily, sometimes multiple times a day.
