Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson met with the Consul General of Ukraine at the Dallas City Hall on March 28.
The Dallas City Council recently adopted a resolution condemning Russia’s invasion. At the March 28 meeting, Mayor Johnson gave Ukraine General Consul Vitalli Tarasiuk a copy of the resolution while the Tarasiuk gave him the Ukrainian flag in return.

“I thank Mayor for his leadership,” Tarasiuk said, “for his moral compass and supporting Ukraine from day one.”
Mayor Johnson also thanked Tarasiuk, saying, “God bless the sovereign nation of Ukraine, and we will display this proudly in our flag room.”
“This is a humanitarian issue,” Mayor Johnson further said. “This has significant ramifications for freedom and democracy around the world.”
According to CBS News, Mayor Johnson and Tarasiuk further discussed plans to increase trade between Ukraine and Dallas businesses once Ukraine is ready and able to rebuild after the war.
