After posting his bond on Thursday, the Timberview High School shooting suspect was seen in a jubilant mood with his family at their home.

Timothy George Simpkins, 18, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the Timberview High School shooting, previously reported by the Dallas Express. Simpkins had been in a fight with another student before he reportedly pulled a gun and opened fire. Four people were injured in the shooting, including a 15-year-old boy authorities say is in critical condition.

Simpkins was welcomed in a jubilant mood by family in their home after he was released on Thursday. The video of his homecoming was posted on Instagram with a caption, “he’s home that quick.”

One of Simpkins’ relatives posted the Instagram video and boasted that the 18-year-old was home already. People gathered inside the family’s home to welcome Simpkins. Simpkins could be seen in the video carrying a child and chatting with relatives.

Calvin Pettitt, a teacher in the high school who was shot as he tried to break up the fight, is currently in the hospital with a bullet in his shoulder. The shot had narrowly missed his Aorta.

Pettit’s sister was disturbed about Simpkins’ release on Thursday and sent out a tweet immediately saying, “‘how can this keep managing to get worse?”

Simpkins’ family said he was being bullied by other students who were jealous of his expensive lifestyle. The family members said other kids picked on him because he drove a $35,000 Dodge Challenger and wore expensive clothes.

Simpkins’ family also claimed he had been robbed twice and was afraid. They also said Simpkins could have decided to commit suicide but instead chose to protect himself.
