Police say two hospitalizations resulted after construction scaffolding collapsed on three people at the site where apartments are being built in Mansfield on the morning of February 10.

The accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. on the construction site of an apartment development located at Watson Branch Road and Farm Road 157, WFFA reports.

Firefighters discovered that the scaffolding fell on a car with three people inside.

One person had to be rescued from the vehicle and flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. They were considered to be in critical condition.

The second victim was transported by ambulance to Medical City Arlington.

The third person declined medical treatment and police say an investigation is underway.
