A local firefighter and two civilians were left injured after a vehicle collision on Tuesday that involved one of the fire department’s vehicles.

Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) reported that one of its fire engines had been involved in a crash with another car at the intersection of West Ledbetter Drive and West Duncanville Road in Dallas on December 26, according to WFAA.

A photo taken in the aftermath of the incident reveals the engine alongside a white vehicle with its front caved in.

The two civilians and the firefighter were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved and the circumstances that led to the collision have not been released.

This is the second recent incident regarding a collision with a DFR fire engine. DFR firefighters were responding to a crash along the 2500 block of Robert B Cullum Boulevard near Fair Park on December 20 when a driver crashed into the engine, expelling the driver from the vehicle, according to NBC 5 DFW.

Similar to the December 26 crash, this incident left two civilians, as well as a firefighter, injured, requiring all three to be hospitalized.

The Dallas Express reached out to DFR but had not received a comment as of press time.
