The Consumer Health Division of the City of Dallas’ Code Compliance Department has revealed a trio of new restaurants that failed their health inspections.

This latest data set reviewed by The Dallas Express encompasses restaurants inspected between February 15 and March 14 of this year.

The City of Dallas maintains a public record database cataloging health inspections for eateries across its jurisdiction. These records track each eatery’s name, location, inspection date, and inspection score, along with an explanation for any and all point deductions and violations based on critical, non-critical, and minor violations of health code standards.

Inspection scores are based on a 0-100 grading scale. Scores between 90 and 100 are considered “very good,” while a score of 69 or below is considered a “failing” grade, which requires a follow-up inspection within 10 days.

If issues discovered during the previous inspection are unresolved, the establishment is subject to immediate closure. Any score of 59 or below is considered “unacceptable” and requires immediate closure and another inspection before reopening.

Only three of the 240 entities inspected between February 15 and March 14 had failing scores, and one came in just above failing.
