A new po’ boy shop is hitting Dallas, opening in Preston Center.

The PoBoy Shop is set to open on July 7 in the 1,200-square-foot former space held by Yonkers Pizza at 8421 Westchester Dr., between Q Clothier and Wells Fargo. Shops Hospitality Group and Evan Meagher, the owner of Evan’s Meat Market in Highland Park, are teaming up to bring the concept to north Dallas.

The forthcoming fast-casual sandwich shop will serve both hot and cold Louisiana-style po’ boys, using high-quality ingredients. Expect deli meat from Evan’s Meat Market and French bread sourced from Langlinais Baking Company in Lafayette, Louisiana.

“There’s something powerful about taking what you grew up on and sharing it in a new way… Louisiana has such a deep history with the po’boy, and this is my way of bringing that heritage forward, updated with a little Texas edge and a lot of passion,” said Meagher in a statement, per CultureMap Dallas.

The menu will include items such as a bold cut po’boy pastrami, a cold cut po’boy salami, and the Louisiana classic, fried shrimp.

Patrons can also indulge in items like debris fries, fries covered in slow-roasted beef, red onions, and provolone.

“The concept brings a taste of Louisiana tradition to Dallas in a casual, community-driven setting, celebrating handcrafted food and approachable service,” reads a description on their website.

Sandwiches will be available in half (4-inch) and whole (8-inch) sizes. Prices start at $9 for a half Dirty Cajun. The Louisiana specialty can be enjoyed on one of their four indoor tables, four patio tables, or as take-out.

The shop’s soft opening will take place from July 8 to July 13, with limited hours from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. From July 14 onwards, The PoBoy Shop will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
