A new private club with sports and dining options is replacing the T Bar M Racquet Club in Dallas.
The Banner House at T Bar M at 6060 Dilbeck Ln. is a modern take on private membership clubs, combining racquet sports, wellness options, cultural experiences, and luxury hospitality.
“For over half a century, T Bar M has served Dallas’ tennis community as a place to play, compete, connect and unwind,” reads a description on the new establishment’s website.
“The legendary club is undergoing a historic renovation set to complete at the end of 2025, which includes the introduction of Banner House, a social and athletic club within the T Bar M community. Banner House represents all aspects of a life well-played – where competition meets leisure and a love for wellness, hospitality, connection, culture and design.”
The facility dates back to 1972 when legendary Texas tennis players Jack Turpin, Tut Bartzen, and Clarence Mabry opened T Bar M Racquet Club. Over the years, the facility’s courts have welcomed pros like John McEnroe and Anna Kournikova.
The original clubhouse remains open as construction continues. The new clubhouse began welcoming new members earlier in March, and new facilities are expected to be unveiled in May.
Once complete, the complex will have 26 tennis courts, including 22 hard courts, three red-clay courts, and one grass court. The club will boast eight pickleball courts and five padel courts, and the renovation will also bring a wellness spa and resort-style pool.
The club will include dining concepts, members-only lounges, and special events nights, like yoga on the courts. A so-called Next Gen Club will open for kids and teens, offering holiday festivals, junior sports academies, and more.
Dues for full membership range from $195 per month for honor roll students aged 21-25 to $645 per month for families. Initiation fees range from $2,500 to $35,000.
