A man was arrested at a Fort Worth residence on January 25 after SWAT was called when he refused to come out for police.

According to WFAA News, Fort Worth Police were called to the 3300 block of South Main Street at about 2:34 a.m on January 25.

The police officers were responding to an alleged domestic dispute where a woman claimed she was violently assaulted by her male partner.

The woman had gone to a convenience store to meet with the Fort Worth police officers, while the man remained at the residence. The man failed to respond to the officers’ directions to exit the home.

A SWAT team was called to the residence before the man exited the building at about 5:41 a.m. The man was taken into custody, according to WFAA News.

Authorities did not release the identity of the man and woman, nor did they reveal what led to the altercation between the couple.
