On December 12, two people were shot in the Turkey D.A.M restaurant parking lot shortly after 9 p.m in the 2500 block of McKinney Ave.

According to Dallas police, the victims and suspect had a fight that got out of hand, resulting in the shooting. Both victims are reported to be in stable condition at a hospital in the area.

The suspect was seen driving a black 4-door Ford F-250 with large red wheels and rims.

One resident took to Nextdoor with his frustrations about crime in the area.

Tim Nelson posted on Nextdoor saying, “Another shooting in Uptown State Thomas by Whole Foods. They just need to shut down Turkey D.A.M. It does nothing for this neighborhood.”

He continued alleging, “once everyone left they stopped along the yards of State Thomas to pee in the yards.”

The Dallas Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective Matthew Small at 214-671-3703 or email [email protected].
