Garland police say a 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man Thursday morning, The Dallas Morning News reported.

The Garland Police Department says that officers received a call at about 4:15 a.m. alerting them to a situation at the 1100 block of Sam Houston Drive.

When they responded to the scene, a man was injured in the driveway of a home.

Police said the injured man was transferred to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.

Police identified the victim as Shalom Thang, a 24-year-old. They also identified the suspect as Ram Hel.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Hel was booked into the Garland jail following this fatal stabbing and charged with murder.

His bond has not been set as of Thursday. It is unclear whether an attorney is representing him.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.
