Dallas Police have arrested a suspect accused of assaulting and killing a man last week.
According to Dallas Police, 24-year-old Charles Albert Edgette allegedly assaulted the victim, 57-year-old David Allegro, outside a house garage at approximately 10:00 a.m. on March 8.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, located in the 8100 block of Forest Hills Boulevard, and found Allegro badly wounded.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors began to treat his injuries and discovered he had been shot.
After being placed on life support, Allegro died of his injuries on March 10.
During the investigation, the Homicide Unit of the Dallas Police Department came to believe that Edgette was responsible for Allegro’s murder.
Dallas Police added that the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force apprehended the suspect, who is now in custody and charged with murder.
Police have not revealed a possible motive for the murder.
