Sheriff’s Department Investigating ‘Brutal Murder’ of 22-Year-Old Camper

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the murder of a 22-year-old man who was found dead inside his camper on March 4.

Officers of the department said the victim was discovered by a friend in the 1400 block of County Road 904 in Joshua.

Deputies revealed that the friend had entered the victim’s trailer to check on him at about 7 a.m. on March 4.

The victim’s friend called the sheriff’s office after seeing blood in the camper and his friend’s body lying on the floor.

Investigators said the victim was killed on the evening of March 3 or early the next morning, and described it as a “brutal murder.”

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Tyler Jordan Waldrop.

According to the medical examiner’s office, Waldrop died of multiple sharp force and blunt force injuries.

Authorities have not shared a possible motive for the murder.
